Their marriage was one of the most interesting news of the tinsel town. But before that, their wedding card also created much buzz about their extravagant affair. 

Do you know that Shahid and Mira spent 4.5 million dollars only on invitation cards? The card was designed in a turquoise and cream color with hints of gold. It also contained four different parchment boxes in which all the invitees received honey and tea placed in a beautiful box.

Imagine when they are spending 5 million dollars only on invitation cards how much they might have spent on marriage functions like reception!

2. Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu’s Wedding Card (3-4 Million Dollars)

The most adorable couple of the tinsel town Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover chose the most creative way to announce their union to the world. The couple did a special photoshoot for their wedding card. Their relationship came as a surprise to their fans, but as their love story, their invitation card was unique and astonishing. They created a look of the Catholic wedding. Bipasha looked gorgeous in a white gown, and Karan looked dapper in a black tuxedo. 3. Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty’s Wedding Card (6-7 Million Dollars)

Shilpa and Raj’s invitation card is one of the most expensive wedding cards we have on the list. This dynamic couple spent 6-7 million dollars on their wedding invitations. Their wedding card was one of the favorite topics of the media during their D-day. 

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty are known for their royal nature, and the couple made sure that their invitation cards should also reflect the same. Their luxury wedding card was designed by Ravish Kapoor.  It was a square shaped golden colored invitation card that was personalized with a beautiful royal crest of their initials (RS). The card was placed inside with Ganesha’s face imprinted in the middle. Several shlokas were printed on the flaps, and the wedding function details were placed in a booklet style in a square box.

Not only this, but there was also a box containing chocolates for the guests. Both the card and the box were tied together with a golden ribbon.

4. Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Wedding Card (5 Million Dollars)

The duo did everything to make their wedding affair special and royal. The royal couple spent 5 million dollars on wedding invitations. The invitation card of these two Bollywood biggies was sent in 3 beautiful golden colored boxes with AA drawn on them. The boxes were tied together with red and green ribbons. 

The first box contained the invitation, the second golden box contained pieces of mithai made from Swiss chocolate, and the third box contained a statue of Lord Ganesha with few shlokas written in golden letters. It was one of the most elegant wedding invitations printed in both Hindi and English. 

Not only this, but the card also had a beautiful poem written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan imprinted on it.

5. Kunal Khemu and Soha Ali Khan’s Wedding Card (4 Million Dollars)

Though the lovebirds made it clear that their wedding day would be a low-key affair, their wedding card became the topic of the town. The couple spent around 4 million dollars on the wedding invitation (this is called low key affair!). It was the most elegant wedding invitation with golden ribbon and golden heart with Soha & Kunal written in the wreath.

Is spending 4 million dollars only on wedding invitations worth? What are your thoughts on it? Bollywood actor Pulkit Samrat & and her former wife Shweta’s wedding invitation was a lavish affair. The duo spent 3 million dollars on their wedding cards. Their invitation card had a fairytale theme. The lovebirds turned their beautiful love story into a dreamlike wedding with different cards printed for every occasion. Each of the cards had their caricatures on them. Their wedding invitation called their wedding as ‘A Knotty Affair’ with fun themes describing each function. The two tied a knot in Goa in November 2014. Unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last long and ended the next year.

7. Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka Alva’s Wedding Card (2 Million Dollars)

Vivek Oberoi has no blockbuster film in his list, but his wedding card attracted the millions. The wedding card of Priyanka and Vivek is one of the luxury wedding invitations in boxes. Do you know why? Because the card was designed out of real gold and crushed gemstones. 

The invites had two segments: the first segment contained chocolates and the second compartment contained a separated card for different wedding functions like Mehendi, Sangeet, and reception.

The heartthrob of B-town Imran Khan got married to his childhood friend Avantika Malik on 10 January 2011. Their wedding card was quite creative and elegant with a sweet message inside it. The invites contained two silver and black boxes with customized chocolates and a yearly planner diary inside it. 

What was most attractive was the yellow and red pinwheel with wedding details attached to it. It also included a swipe card for the security purpose. On the back side, there were directions for the venue marked on it. The duo spent 2.1million dollars on the wedding cards.

All the events took place in Delhi.
