Everyone’s life is different in some or the other way. Each one of us has some complaints with life. But for some people life gives an unendurable pain that costs them to leave the life. Undoubtedly, few of the courageous people do exists in the world that challenges life and say ‘try me’.
Here is the story of 26 year old girl Steph Aiello who is paralyzed low down waist but her unconditional love for cosmetics helped her heal. Sophie is not only beautiful in fact; she is life lover and a strong girl who has now become inspiration to many. The girl who have proved that ‘believe in yourself’ amidst of number of failures.
Steph was driving back to California for Las Vegas and unfortunately met with accident. She was just 20 when she met with such a terrible accident that left her paralyzed.
Her dream was to become a cosmetologist. Sadly, she met with an accident the day before when she was to start her school.
She was recovering from this accident but destiny has some more for her. Her parents met with another accident and left them badly injured.
She faced the depression for almost a year and then adjusted her life with a wheel chair. She was badly hurt after this accident and here she said in one of her videos –
I remember sitting there thinking, this just can’t be real. Like, why am I here? Sitting there in the car and your dad’s not speaking to you because he’s been knocked out and your mom’s not breathing in the back seat – you’re just thinking, ‘Why? Why does this have to happen?’ You sit there and think you’ve been through enough.
Steph’s therapist cheers her up and handed makeup brush to her.
MY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST KNEW THAT I WAS STRUGGLING MENTALLY AND SHE CAME IN ONE DAY AND SAID, ‘WE’RE DOING THIS. WE’RE GOING TO FIGURE THIS OUT.’
After some practice Steph managed to hold brushes like a pro and started doing makeup activities. Stephen was happy that she got the way of making her dream come true.
“I feel like emotionally, it made me revisit the person I was before my accident, with a passion of trying to beautify things. It was therapeutic for me because I didn’t have much wrist function and finger function, so I had to use the muscles that I did have after my injuries. I had to compensate. I think it also mentally helped me because it was a challenge for me and I became stronger from it. I became who I was again.”
You won’t believe that Steph is a licensed makeup artist and enjoys doing makeup joining a wheelchair with her team. Watch how she does makeup with such perfection.
