10 Things to Tick Off on the Bucket List & Make Your Boring Life Exciting

Have you ever felt that time is flying faster than ever? Yes, time is flying, but there are endless things left to experience in life.

We are stuck in our daily jobs, constantly doing the same work, and repeating the activities again and again. Sometimes we watch our favorite TV shows and do other things to get off the boredom. But the bucket list is something that motivates you to do more.

Have you ever thought of creating a bucket list? You might have thought about it, but haven’t created yet. I think it is a good idea to write down several things to do before you die.

If you are the one who has only read or heard about the bucket list, then scroll below to know about the wishlist and how to create it.

What is a Bucket List?

Bucket List is nothing but a list of experiences, activities, or goals you would like to achieve before you die. Sometimes people compare the list with others, but you should know that the wishlist is a list of personal choices. It can’t be compared.

How to Create Bucket List?

One of the aspects of setting goals is to note it down. Follow the steps below to create a bucket list.

1.  Take a blank paper and start writing everything that has fascinated you or you ever wanted to do.

2.  Think about the things you are most fearful of (they are worth trying!)

3.  Imagine if it is the last day of your life, what you would do to make it memorable for others.

4.  Write everything you wanted to do, do not miss anything and learn to make the best out of it.

List of Things to Do Before You Die

1. Float in the Dead Sea

Floating in the Dead Sea should be on your bucket list. The minute you put your legs in the water, you feel like they are being pushed up and your body is becoming lighter. Floating in the Dead Sea allows your whole body to rest and relieves stress. The sea sits 1400 feet below sea level, making it the lowest place on Earth.

Do you know the water in the Dead Sea is eight times rich in minerals than the other seawaters? The water here can treat common illnesses ranging from arthritis to joint pain and other heart problems.

With over 30% salinity, the sea is one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water. The high salt concentration means that people can float in the sea due to natural buoyancy. So would you dive in the Dead Sea?

Make sure that you don’t splash because it is painful when water gets in your eyes. Also, don’t try to taste water as it is too salty and becomes poisonous if too much is consumed.

Tip: Bring a novel or newspaper and enjoy floating in the sea.

2. Swim in Lake in Palau

You might have heard about Palau’s lake, but do you know why it is so popular? Located on the island of Mecherchar, the isolated lake is popular for jellyfish found in the lake. It is reopened to tourists after being closed for several years.

Only swimming is permitted, and scuba diving is prohibited as the bottom of the lake has poisonous hydrogen sulfide gas. The lake is around 12000 years old and has two species of scyphozoan jellyfish – golden and moon jellyfish in it.

Before you plan to complete this wish on your bucket list, make sure that you know the rules when you enter into the lake. Kicking inside the lake is not allowed as it can tear the gentle species.

So when are you planning to dive with jellyfish?

Unfortunately, due to natural erosion, nearly 30% of the wall has disappeared. To prevent further loss, the government has taken several measures to protect it. It is said-

“Until you reach the Great Wall, you're no hero.”

With a history of over 3000 years, some of its sections have disappeared, but the wall is still the most appealing attractions of the world. It is the most common medieval seven wonder that welcomes millions of tourists every year.

Sometimes you realize that helping someone in need is the best experience of life. This realization has kept humanity alive. Sit and think about how you could help others. In these years, if you haven’t helped anybody, ask if there’s something that is stopping you.

In some case, you know it’s the time to give back to society, but don’t know where to begin. So, why not join an NGO or become a volunteer at an orphanage? Several senior citizens have been abandoned by their children.

The only thing children and old people want is someone to listen to their problems and spend quality time with them. Help children coming from vulnerable backgrounds in improving their confidence and finding out their skills.

Another thing you can do is to make people aware of the care of stray animals and pets. Take the initiative and teach children something that they will remember for their life.

Search for NGO, orphanage, and organizations where you can be a volunteer. After all, a little help can make this world a better place.

9. Swim With Whale Sharks

Don’t forget to take an underwater camera along with you. Be ready when the captain/trainer says go, as it is the perfect time when you can experience the closest view of the whale sharks.

Tip: Add this wish last on your bucket list. This could be your last day on earth. (I am not JOKING anymore!)

10. Learn a New Language

Source = Wp

If you travel to several countries, knowing one language is not enough. Learn different languages like French, Portuguese, and Russian, etc. and talk to the locals in their native language;  you will feel like you have cracked a magical code.

Learning new phrases is difficult, but it doesn’t mean it’s not fun. Speaking the native language inspires you to take an interest in their lives and makes a stronger bond.

If you have ‘learning a new language’ in your bucket list, take online classes, work on vocabulary while ordering in a restaurant, or watch a foreign film. The best thing you can do to learn their language is to read a novel;  this would help you to brush your grammar, as you will come up with tenses and sentence structures.

Final Words

Doing unusual things and experiencing new moments will be remembered forever. It’s the time to tick things off your wishlist. Obviously! Hundreds of things can be added in the wishlist.
