No Reason To Avoid This Baby Born With Swollen Head

Hydrocephalus is a fatal disease that builds up water in brain. This results in swelling of the head three four times larger than its normal size. A baby born with swollen head has least chances of survival. Even if he/she lives, the quality of their life is very poor.

Jillian Hartman was brave enough to give birth to her hydrocephalic baby despite knowing about his syndrome before delivery. How did the journey of child move forward? Catch on here.

Jillian Hartman was happy to get pregnant with a baby boy

Unfortunately, the baby was diagnosed with hydrocephalus in the fifth month of the mother’s pregnancy. 

Doctors advised the mother to terminate her baby

But she decided to give birth.

Jillian Hartman and her son Robert proved the doctors wrong.

Robert underwent several brain surgeries

Robert is fighting every minute of his life. He has gone through two different helmet surgeries to help his head get in shape. His mom has been the greatest supporter in his journey.

Robert is now six years old, studying in the first grade

The swollen head baby is very intelligent and fun loving. 

Robert is a great inspiration

He loves playing piano. He faces development delays but can read, count and identify shapes, colors and animals. 

The mother of the swollen head baby, Jullian says, 

 "Right now he has a wheelchair and a walker. He is very strong-willed and likes to move his own chair. He gets frustrated when others try and push it!"
